On Sunday 21st November 2021, UWAC took part in the first match of the 2021/22 season for our regional inter-university league, the BUTTS league! The shoot was hosted by De Monfort University in Leicester.
This was the first competition for this year’s novice archers, and good fun was had by all. Notable performances from Warwick novices were Amy Phelps, who took 1st place overall in the Novice Lady Recurve category with a score of 455, and Max Parker, who took 10th place overall in the Novice Gent Recurve category with a score of 405. In the experienced category, James Woodgate topped the Gent Recurve division with a score of 592, while Hannah Burnage finished 4th in the Lady Recurve division with a score of 560.
In the team category, Warwick came first in the Experienced team (James Woodgate, Chris Woodgate, Wills Chiu, Hannah Burnage) and fourth in the Novice team (Amy Phelps, Ramona Seremesic, Max Parker, Harry Taylor).
