UWAC Joins the Warwick University Combat Sports' Union

Posted by Sarah Allaway on 15th September 2016

In August UWAC was asked, by the fencing society, if they would like to join the Warwick Uni Combat Sports’ Union (WUCSU). WUCSU describes itself as “a sports organisation for all kick-ass combat sports/martial arts at the University of Warwick” on its Facebook page. The union at present comprises: Fencing, Aikido, Amateur Boxing, Judo, Kali-Jeet Kune Do and Shotokan Karate, and now Archery.

UWAC & WUCSUUWAC decided to accept the offer made to us and joined on the 24th August 2016. What this means for the club is opportunities to organise a few joint socials/circles during the year and gives us more clout as a group when negotiating with Warwick Sport.

UWAC members are encouraged to like the WUCSU on Facebook in order to stay up to date with the latest socials and also other related sporting news. We look forward to our future as a member of WUCSU and our endeavours together as a team!
