As the start of term at Warwick approaches, we look forward to welcoming new members to the club. For those of you wanting more information on how joining archery works, please take a look at our Get Involved page. Otherwise, read on for exact dates and times of sessions for those of you new to the club!
Sports fair will be held at the University's new Sports and Wellness Hub on Tuesday 24th September, 10:00-17:00.
UWAC will have a stand where you can chat to current club members and pick up information on joining the club. Feel free to drop by and say hello!
Our taster sessions this year will run Wednesday 2nd October 14:00-16:00 and Sunday 6th October 14:00-16:00 in the Westwood Games Hall. You don't need to sign up for these, and can drop in any time to have a go. We provide all equipment, and one of our members will be on hand to instruct you. This is a great way to decide if you fancy doing a beginners' course!
We are running two beginners' courses this year:
Course 1: 9th, 13th, 16th, 20th October (Wednesdays and Sundays)
Course 2: 27th October, 3rd, 10th, 17th November (just Sundays)
All course sessions run 13:45-16:15 and are held in the Westwood Games Hall.
You need to complete one of these to be able to participate in one of our regular club sessions. All equipment is provided. We ask that any long hair is tied up, protruding piercings are removed, and that you wear comfortable clothes suitable for gentle exercise. (Trainers, jeans and a t-shirt is perfect!)
Signups will be via the SU website, and we will update this page and Facebook page with more information once we have it. We will also have more information available at Sports Fair and our Taster Sessions.
