The sun held out for UWAC’s first charity shoot on the 27th June. It was in support of Helen and Douglas house, a charity who provide hospice and end of life care to children and young adults. We raised £152.06 in total. Participants paid £3, were given a brief safety introduction and then allowed to shoot at balloon targets for thirty minutes. Many surprised themselves bursting so many balloons they had to be replaced in their half hours’ worth of shooting.
What’s more we hope to support Helen and Douglas House in the future with more charity events and fun shoots over the course of the next academic year. This is because we have made them our focus charity for the next year.
