Over the past few days, Tom Hall was shooting at the Nimes stage of the World Archery Indoor World Cup!
At the first day of qualifying, Tom ranked 21st in the Gents Recurve category with a score of 575. Come the end of qualifying on the second day, Tom was in a 4-way split for 31st/32nd place and shot the highest qualifying recurve score for Great Britain.
Tom and the other three archers went into a shoot off to decide who will go into the top 32 and onto the elimination round of the competition. Tom shot 6 straight 10s to go into 32nd spot and onto the elimination rounds!
Tom's first opponent was 3-time World Champion Brady Ellison, who ranked first with a score of 595. Tom shot well, taking points from Brady, but was bested with an end score of 6-2. Tom was happy, though, ranking so high and setting a new personal best on his first World Cup appearance.
