Hello! I'm Tim and I'll be your President for the year! I'll soon be a 1st year Engineering PhD student but this will be my 4th year within the club, third year on the exec.
I started archery in 2014 by chance ( I picked up the first sports flyer i saw on the table in fresher's week) and have been hooked ever since!
If you have any questions about the club or archey as a whole, ideas for how to make the club even more awesome, or want to know how you can get more involved, drop me an email at email@example.com or speak to me at sessions - I enjoy talking about archery!
See you at the range!
Hi there! I’m David, a 1st year Computer Science PhD Student and the club’s secretary for the year. I’m heading into my 4th year of archery with the club, having started in my 2nd year. My role within the club involves making sure everyone is insured to shoot and managing club clothing orders.
If you have any further questions about what I do or anything else in general, do feel free to email me or come speak to me at session where I’ll do my best to answer them.
Hello! I’m Jack, the club’s treasurer. I’m a third-year Mathematics student, and this is also my third year as a member of UWAC.
I manage the club finances, reimburse members when they buy equipment on behalf of the club, and deal with any other money-related matters.
If you have any questions about what I do, or any other queries, feel free to talk to me at session or drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hi! I’m Eleanor, your publicity officer this year. I started archery at my local club the summer before I started here at Warwick and have been shooting for three years, at the time of writing, since.
It’s my job to help run our beginner’s course. I am also involved in the team selection for all the competitions which we attend. When at session I am in charge of range safety this means enforcing the whistle commands as well as general risk assessments.
Aside from my exec role I’m now a fourth year biomedical sciences student. Outside of the club enjoy swimming and *cough* skiing. If there’s anything you’d like to ask don’t hesitate to come and find me at any session, at one of our socials or via email at email@example.com.
My name is Sherman and I am a postgraduate statistics student. Previously I have captained and shot for University of London AC in 2010-15 and University of Oxford CoA in 2015-16. My best performances were medal positions in national events such as BUCS Indoors and BUTC in 2016 and 17.
My role as captain is to supplement regular shooting sessions with coaching, fitness, S&C, psychology and master class sessions. My aim is to give the opportunity to both experienced and novice archers to improve their performance and achieve their goals. A number of archers regularly medal at national events such as BUCS.
Should you have any questions, please drop me an email.
Hi, I’m Sam! I’m a second year Physicist and am also your Tournaments Secretary for this year. I started archery in my first year.
My role involves organising and running any competitions we host. These include the Warwick Open Novice Tournament (WONT) and the Warwick leg of the regional BUTTS league. In addition to this I also organise the annual club tour in Easter.
If you have any questions, feel free to speak to me at session or drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hello! I'm Alex, a second year computer scientist and third year archer with UWAC, and I will be your Records Officer for this year!
The majority of my role involves keeping track of all the scores our archers shoot, calculating handicaps, and organising scoring at our competitions. This year I'll also be developing a sophisticated records system which will hopefully make it easier than ever to track your own scores and see how you're improving!
A bow is sometimes not the only thing I shoot with at the club - along with David I also regularly take photos at our events and competitions to use for our news articles, and have even helped organising live streaming of events in the past.
If you need any information about scores, how the handicap and classification systems work, details of rounds you can shoot, (or really most things to do with archery which involve numbers) either come and find me at a session or send me an email at email@example.com and I will be happy to help.
Hello everyone, my name is Sam and I’m a 3rd year Discrete Maths student. I’ve been doing archery in some form since I was about ten years old. This year I will be your Equipment officer.
As the Equipment Officer my job is essentially to fix anything anyone breaks (and to buy the wrong size fletching). I’m also in charge of purchasing new club equipment and maintaining what we already have, which is just an endless cycle of fixing broken arrows.
So if you ever find yourself with something broken or a question come find me at session or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hello! My name is Sarah and I will be your publicity officer for this year. I am a second year archer with UWAC and student of Classical Civilisations at the University of Warwick.
It’s my job is to organise our stall at sports fair and to manage UWAC's online presence. I also write and upload blog posts following the club's competitive exploits throughout the year onto the UWAC website.
If there’s anything you’d like to ask, don’t hesitate to come and find me during session or send me an email at email@example.com.
