Alumni Sports Day 2018

Alumni Sports Day

Posted by Megan Purchase on 5th May 2018

Alumni Sports Day returned this year with another chance for current students to go up against alumni in several Team Warwick sports clubs. This year, UWAC hosted a fun shoot, giving alumni who maybe haven't picked up a bow since leaving Warwick another day of shooting to enjoy.

All archers used the clubs trainer bows and the day included shooting at:

  • a target covered in balloons, each worth a number of points based on colour.
  • a target at 30 yards, using a 'wrong- handed' bow.
  • a giant dartboard- a practice known as 'Dart-chery'.

Warwick Sport provided t-shirts for use as prizes, as well as a barbecue afterwards. We were extremely lucky with the weather, with bright sunshine and a constant 21°C meaning suncream and shorts all round.

All in all, Alumni Sports Day 2018 was a great success and fun was had by all. We look forward to welcoming back some UWAC alumni again next year.
